OT for the spinal cord injured
These pages were created with the aim of linking OT departements of different rehab centres that are members of the DMGP (German-speaking medical association for paraplegiology) to increase opportunities for professional exchange.
Furthermore there is a huge expertise among OTs treating SCI-patients that we would like to offer to other OTs, SCI-related staff and other interested people.
OT tasks are similar in different SCI-centres. Despite progress in medical and technical skills, OT tasks are likely to remain much the same. However, research in this field has been going on for a long time and is coming up with interesting ideas that will have an impact on our work.
This is why it is particulary worthwhile to offer this expertise to other people.
Eventually we would like to compile articles, lectures of various topics, proven aids, comparisons of products, reports on one's experiences on this site.
We have set ourselves an ambitious target!
We are looking forward to a continuous growth of this site and a lively exchange of information.
